Stephen Fretwell is another in a long line of artists that have settled in Manchester and become adopted Mancunians (see Nine Black Alps, The Longcut, Keith etc). This singer-songwriter from Scunthorpe has been playing the Manchester circuit for several years… anyone that saw him back in 2003 couldn’t have failed to recognise this guy would eventually breakthrough to the mainstream. Indeed he acomplished this last year with his tunes ‘Emily’ and ‘New York’, thanks to plenty of Radio One airplay and a re-release of his debut album Magpie
